HSMO is looking for a new Bark in the Park Mascot!

As the Bark in the Park mascot, this dog will appear on thousands of printed materials, and will lead the walk at Bark in the Park in Forest Park on May 21, 2011.

The Bark in the Park Mascot has a very important job of leading the dog walk and acting as the doggy spokesperson of the event. All entrants should get canine kudos for good behavior and have good manners with people and with other dogs. They should enjoy walking on a leash and should be comfortable and calm in new situations.

Meet Jack.

He has been neutered. Jack is about 5 months old and has been at the shelter since December 5th 2010.

A NOTE FROM CHELSEA:

From experience, boxers are amazing dogs. They can be extremely chill and love to just lay around, yet can be extremely playful. Every person in my family, young to old says he is the best dog they have ever had.

Merry Christmas from Rico!

Rico is a 3 year old white Chihuahua-Smooth Coated.

He has been neutered.

Rico has been at the Shelter since Halloween 2010.

The shelter has microchipped him and he has had all of his vaccination. And the staff says he is very sweet and laid-back.
